I have a problem…if you ask me to make you something I can’t resist the task. Also if it’s your birthday I am not likely to show up empty handed even if I suspect you don’t want more “stuff”. That’s the price of being my pal. Here are a smattering of things I have made for others, some for better some for worse. The Babar Ship was a painting on the front and a projector screen on the back. Two for the price of one.
A candle case I made for Maggie
The candle holders Maggie requested I make out of old doorknobs.
A paper mache unicorn I made for Zoe’s 30th birthday party, which would be the inspiration for the world famous hit, blue eyed unicorn by the great Jesse.
Leo’s plaza board
An “exact” reproduction of the map that greets you upon entering the Empire State Plaza
My first foray into my plaza obsession, this was the inside of a bulky bracelet made for Zoe, which ended up on a wall and never a wrist.
Every year for Christmas I make a single gift that I can reproduce multiple times and give to everyone I know. Sometimes it’s a change purse, sometimes it’s a pog, sometimes it’s a calender. This one year I was obsessed with this poem shared with me by Gregs mom after she read it in a New Yorker article. I have always felt it to be one of my many mottos. Never give up.
3 images my friend Dan asked me to draw for his Horror Film Blog.
A figurine of the movie “Coco” made for Jenny. She often tells me my body reminds her of the uncle. He is a skeleton. I guess it’s a compliment.
A “Do The Right Thing” night light for Aurora to take to boarding school.
My Buddy Dave once tried to start a record label. He asked me to make some logos for his artists on said label. Nobody used them. Still had fun.
Two Clocks made out of old sheet music.
Still tickin’ out time this very second.
A poster I made for Maggie to commemorator her Job as the Vice President of Academics
A driftwood portrait of the late Great Lakota Katy
A portrait to commemorate Maggies love for Kumail
Once I was gonna make a deck of cards, Joker that I was.
The hit single “Blue Eyed Unicorn”
